Google DeepMind has introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash and 3.8 Flash Cyber, the latest entries in the Gemini fast-model lineup.
A Flash for Every Job
The Gemini 3.8 Flash generation arrives just weeks after 3.7 Flash, keeping Google’s cadence the fastest among frontier labs. The new Flash Cyber variant carries forward the specialized security tuning introduced with 3.5 Flash Cyber — aimed at defensive security workloads like threat intelligence analysis, vulnerability research, and secure code review.
Google has been shipping Cyber-branded models as part of its broader push into AI-assisted security, including its Fairwind program for proactive cyber defense announced the same month.

The 3.8 Flash launch is one pillar of a dense September for Google’s AI division:
