Google used I/O 2026 to rebuild its AI subscription lineup around a new entry price and a bigger top tier. The headline: a $100 per month AI Ultra plan aimed at developers, technical leads, knowledge workers, and advanced creators — and a price cut on the flagship tier from $250 to $200.
A New $100 AI Ultra Plan
The new tier, available starting today, is engineered for people who build. It includes:
- 5X higher usage limits than Pro in the Gemini app and Google Antigravity
- Gemini 3.5 Flash for lightning-fast testing, debugging, and iteration
- Priority access to Google Antigravity, the agent-first development platform
- 20TB of cloud storage for datasets, codebases, and media assets
- YouTube Premium individual plan, ad-free and in the background
The existing top tier keeps every capability — including a 20X higher usage limit than Pro — now at $200 per month.
Gemini Spark and Project Genie
Gemini Spark, a 24/7 personal AI agent that navigates your digital life and takes action under your direction, rolls out to trusted testers this week with a Beta planned for US AI Ultra subscribers the following week. Project Genie, the experimental world-creation prototype, expands to all eligible $200-tier subscribers globally, adding a new Street View-powered capability for building worlds anchored in reality.
Latest Models and Productivity Tools
Every paid tier now reaches the newest models: Gemini Omni, which creates video from any combination of text, image, and video inputs, and Gemini 3.5 Flash, tuned for agents and coding. AI Inbox in Gmail and the Daily Brief digest in the Gemini app are rolling out to AI Plus and Pro subscribers in the US, with Google Pics — an all-new image creation tool — and new voice capabilities in Gmail, Docs, and Keep coming this summer to AI Pro and Ultra.
Compute-Based Usage Limits
Google is replacing daily prompt limits with a compute-used model that weighs prompt complexity, features used, and chat length — a simple text prompt costs far less compute than a complex video or coding prompt. Limits refresh every five hours up to a weekly cap; at the cap, users shift to state-of-the-art smaller models, or can buy pay-as-you-go AI credits for Antigravity, Flow, and soon the Gemini app.
What This Means
Premium benefits round out the bundle: YouTube Premium Lite is now free for paid AI Pro subscribers in select countries — $8.99 in monthly value — and Health Premium and Home Premium are included in Pro and Ultra at no extra cost. The strategy is clear: Google is converting power users into subscribers and using those plans as the distribution channel for its frontier models.
