At GTC Taipei at COMPUTEX last week, NVIDIA unveiled RTX Spark, the superchip that reinvents Windows PCs for the era of personal AI agents. On the heels of that announcement, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang headed to South Korea to introduce the chip to the nation’s passionate gaming community.
RTX Spark Recap
Designed for local AI, creating and gaming, RTX Spark distills 30 years of NVIDIA innovation into slim Windows laptops with all-day battery life and small, ultraefficient desktop PCs. With the superchip, gamers can play AAA titles at 1440p resolution at over 100 frames per second with NVIDIA ray tracing, DLSS and Reflex. It supports all RTX technologies, including DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction.
T1 Base Camp
Korea has spearheaded esports and drove the boom in PC bangs, or internet gaming cafes. On Friday, Huang headed to T1 Base Camp, a PC bang owned by esports team T1, where he met the team’s reigning League of Legends World Champion lineup — including six-time World Champion Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok — to unveil RTX Spark.
NVIDIA and Riot Games are collaborating to bring League of Legends and VALORANT to the new platform. Attendees had the chance to win RTX Spark laptops, signed League of Legends and T1 merchandise, and GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs.
Surprising PC-Bang Gamers
Huang then moved to Seoul’s Gangnam district, surprising gamers at two PC bangs:
- At Optimum Zone PC, Huang and KRAFTON Chairman Byung-gyu Chang showcased PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Subnautica 2 on RTX Spark. Gamers played the unreleased PUBG Ally, a co-playable AI character built with NVIDIA ACE technologies.
- At Portal PC, Huang and NC’s Taekjin Kim demoed CINDER CITY and AION 2. CINDER CITY will support DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation at launch.
Publisher Momentum
Beyond KRAFTON, NC and Riot Games, more than 100 Windows software providers and game developers are embracing RTX Spark, including NetEase, Remedy Entertainment and Xbox. NC and NVIDIA have worked together since the early 2000s on the Lineage franchise and have since integrated RTX across Lineage 2, AION, Blade & Soul, AION 2 and CINDER CITY.
What This Means
RTX Spark gives the PC bang a new reason to exist in the agentic era — blending flagship esports titles with on-device AI workloads. For NVIDIA, Korea’s gaming heartland is the proving ground for a chip that must win over both the biggest players in esports and the developers who power them.
